In Thursday's GameTracker, we previewed the top games this weekend. Here we give you the football recaps. We predicted three out of four games correctly.
Idaho Falls 28, Skyline 13
The much anticipated 44th Annual Emotion Bowl took place Friday in Idaho Falls. Although top ranked Skyline was the favorite going into this game, Idaho Falls stepped up and won 28-13, their third Emotion Bowl victory in three years.
Idaho Falls senior quarterback Devin Munk scored the first touchdown for the Tigers, and at half-time, the Tigers led 6-0. Then Munk scored another touchdown in the third quarter.
Skyline’s Houston Moore retaliated by scoring the Grizzlies’ first touchdown of the night, but the Tigers soon got the ball back for Munk to score again.
Michael Berger’s touchdown brought the Grizzlies’ score to 13, but Skyline’s strong defense, led by senior Christian Denny, kept them from scoring again.
With the 28-13 victory, the Tigers are now 3-3, while the Grizzlies are 5-1. The goalposts at Ravsten Stadium will remain Tiger orange for 2009.
Highland 24, Pocatello 12

The two teams from Pocatello played each other Friday night at the Black and Blue Bowl. The Highland Rams beat the Pocatello Indians, 24-12.
Highland receiver Jace Hansen and quarterback Tanner Nielson were the stars of the game. Nielson threw to Hansen for the first touchdown, then scored three more himself.
Pocatello’s running back Jake Valentine injured his collarbone in the third quarter, which made it easier for the Rams’ offense. Valentine will likely be out for the remainder of the season, a big loss for the Indians.
Highland’s record is now 6-1 and Pocatello’s is 2-5.
Eagle 50, Boise 16
Eagle defeated Boise, 50-16, Thursday at Bronco Stadium.
Senior quarterback Taylor Kelly ran 115 yards, passed for 134 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Mustangs. Three more touchdowns were scored by junior running back Dillon Lukehart, who rushed 137 yards.
The Braves’ two touchdowns were scored by John DiLulo.
With this week’s victory, Eagle is now 5-1. Boise is 2-4.
Prairie 55, Genesee 6
No. 1 ranked Prairie once again proved their domination in 1A football Friday night when they defeated Genesee, 55-6.
Both teams were undefeated coming into this game, but the Bulldogs were no match for the Pirates. Prairie won the game in the first quarter.
Prairie’s record is now 6-0 and Genesee’s is 5-1.
