Football
• Andre Williams, Nashua North: Offense was the name of the game for the Titans in Friday night’s 56-49 victory against city rival Nashua South. And nobody was more offensive than Williams, who rushed 27 times for 276 yards and five touchdowns in helping the Division I Titans improve their record to 6-0. Williams was dominant from the start, running for a 65-yard touchdown on the game’s first offensive play. His final touchdown broke a 49-all tie with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter.

• Max Jacques, Salem: What a season it has been for the Blue Devils junior standout, who rushed for 212 yards and five touchdowns in Division I Salem’s 35-34 overtime win over Division II Timberlane on Friday. In the last two weeks alone, Jacques has rushed for 541 yards and nine touchdowns. There figure to be plenty more touchdowns scored on Saturday afternoon in Nashua when Jacques and Salem square off against fellow unbeaten Nashua North and Andre Williams.

• Josh Ibarra, Milford: No matter what happens the rest of the season, Ibarra will always remember Friday night’s game against Souhegan. The Spartans senior rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns in Milford’s stunning, 23-8 win over the previously unbeaten and seemingly invincible Sabers. The Spartans ran for 301 yards against a Souhegan team that saw its 18-game win streak come to an end.

• Joe DeAngelo, Pelham: The Pythons senior quarterback did it all in Saturday’s 24-23 victory over Kearsarge. DeAngelo ran for two scores and threw a touchdown pass to Kevin Cheam to help the defending Division V champions improve to 4-2. DeAngelo also threw for a pair of two-point conversions and ran for another. His last, coming with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, accounted for the winning points.

• Matt Descoteaux, Winnisquam: Descoteaux couldn’t have been more efficient in the Bears’ 48-14 rout of Farmington on Saturday. He carried the ball four times for 144 yards and four touchdowns in helping Winnisquam improve to 6-0 in Division VI. Teammate Pat Sanborn also had 17 carries for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

• Kiel Canada, Campbell: It was sweet revenge for Canada and the Cougars against Division VI rival Franklin on Saturday. In a rematch of last season’s championship game, won by Franklin, Canada passed for 234 yards and three touchdowns in the Cougars’ 28-12 victory. He also ran for 90 yards and another touchdown in helping Campbell (3-3) win its third straight game.

• Colin Hay, Plymouth: The Bobcats senior captain scored both of his team’s touchdowns in a key, 13-7 victory over Laconia on Saturday. Plymouth extended its state-record winning streak to 50 games and took over sole possession of first place in Division IV. Hay carried the ball 15 times for 78 yards in the game. His 18-yard touchdown run on a left toss from quarterback Jack Ringlein provided the winning points.

Boys soccer
• Zach Hill, Somersworth: Hill, a sophomore, scored four second-half goals in leading Somersworth to a 5-1 Class M win over Farmington last Tuesday. Three of those goals came in a span of 3 minutes, 21 seconds.

• Jon DiPietro, St. Thomas: DiPietro scored three goals, including one in the final minutes of regulation, to help the Saints tie Hollis-Brookline, 4-4, last Tuesday. That allowed the Saints, No. 2 in our latest Class I boys soccer rankings, to stay unbeaten on the season. St. Thomas is 10-0-2.

Field hockey
• Sarah Curtis, Milford: Curtis continued her terrific season with a three-goal game against Portsmouth last Tuesday. Curtis, who lifted the Spartans to a 4-3 win over the Clippers, has helped Milford to a 10-2 record in Class I. The Spartans, No. 6 in our Class I rankings, have won six straight games.

• Jill Thompson, Derryfield School: Thompson is a key piece of the puzzle for Derryfield, which is 11-1 and the No. 4 team in the CoachesAid.com Class M-S rankings. Thompson scored three goals in last week’s 9-0 victory over Franklin. The Cougars have won five consecutive games.

Girls volleyball
• Jen Billings, Spaulding: The Red Raiders seem ready to defend their Division I championship, thanks in part to the strong work done by Billings in setting up her teammates. Billings had 30 assists in helping top-ranked Spaulding (13-0) sweep No. 2 Bishop Guertin, 3-0, last Monday. The Red Raiders have lost only three games in their 13 matches.
