LIVE BLOG--Seneca at Woodmont

By JOHN BOYANOSKI
CoachesAid.com South Carolina content coordinator

10:01 -- Seneca Coach Ron Duncan looks pretty tired for a guy who won tonight.

10:00 PM -- Clock runs out as Suber wss trying to spike the ball to stop it.  Teams are shaking hands.

9:50 PM -- Crowd is on its feet as Suber is tacled while running toward the goal line. Five yard penalty. Subver down to four.

9:58 PM -- Woodmont just picked up a good pass interference. It is now first and 10 at the 15. This is getting close,

9:55 PM -- Seneca punts. Less than a minute to go. There is an injured Seneca player on the field.

9:50 PM -- Seneca is going to try and run out the clock.

9:49 PM -- Fumble on the exchange. Seneca has it at the two. That is the seventh turnover tonight. Howver, I don't think thsi game is over yet.

9:47 PM -- Suber just made a great run around the left side. They are on the six.

9:46 PM -- Woodmont driving.  Five yard penalty. Now is fourth down.

9:43 PM -- It looks like Smoot just forced a fumble and Davario Seawright takes over around the 15. Less than six minutes to go.

9:41PM -- Brown just got his second interception of the night..this time in he end zone.

9:40 PM -- Thomas Brown just batted down an pass in the end zone on third down.

9:36 Pm - Woodmont is in inside the redzone. Based on my totals, Smoot and Suber each have 100 yards.

9:32 PM -- It will go down that Suber lost six yards on his last carry, but really it was a great run. He took a high snap, was hit, ran back, was hit again. ran back, hit again, turned up field and only lost six. It could have been a lot worse.

9:30 PM -- Woodmont just crossed the 50. This game is far from over with a little more than 10 minutes to go.

9:25 PM-- Robinson just rumbled 43 yards off right tackle on a pitchout. The Bobcats are now up 13-8 and there is some debate on the conversion. Robinson just went over the right side for the two-point conversion. It is 15-8 early in the fourth quarter.

9:23 PM -- END of the third quarter.

9:21 --Seneca is on the move now with a steady stream of runs and passes. Out to be about midfield. Robinson's jersey is soaked right now.

9:19: Seneca has it back on downs. Woodmont's defense has been shutting down the holes in the second half. Robinson has more than 100 yards so far. He came in with 300 on the year.

9:16 PM -- Woodmont is driving. Almost a pick.

9:12 Woodmont calls a timeout facing fourth and one.

9:08 PM -- Seneca has been stopped again and going to punt from own 25.

9:03 PM-- Sundrez Smoot just scooted 51 yards for a touchdown for Woodmont. Some nice shakes and bankes to break through the left side. Two-point conversion is good on a direct snap to Taylor Watson. Score is now 8-7 Woodmont. The public address system is playing a wildcat growl. (Note to hockey fans...I wanted to spell that grrrowl.)

9:02 PM -- Seneca to punt from own end zone. Boots it well over 50 yards. Nice place.

8:56 PM -- Second half starts. Seneca is pinned deep in their own teritory.

8:50 PM -- Teams are back on the field to stretch.

8:36 PM -- That's the half.

8:32 PM -- With time running out in the second quarter, Woodmont is "driving." What I mean is that Suber just made a nice long run to midfield.  Woodmont just calle a timeout.

8:24 PM -- Blogging on a cold night from the stands draws attention. Several people have come up to ask me what I am doing. Actually, one recognized me as CoachesAid.com.

8:22 PM --- SCORE. Over the right side for a TD. Robinson. He now has 86 yards on the night.

8:20 PM -- Seneca s starting to move the ball a little bit at a time. Seneca's Chris Robinson just had a nice run and all of a sudden we may see a score.

8:18 PM -- This game has not been a real thriller. Neither side is getting a lot of traction. However, Okoye Houston is showing why he is a college prospect on defense as well. Actually, this game has been a combo of good defense and sloppy offense.

8:05 --  Woodmont has the ball deep in its own territory.

7:55 -- End of the first quarter. Turnovers have been problems for both of these teams in 2009.

7:54 -- James Ramsey just recovered a Seneca fumble. Ball is around the Woodmont 42. Ball must be slippery.

7:51-- Two passes, two interceptions. There is 1:08 left in the first with a timeout called.

7:50 -- That was wierd. It looked like Woodmont just put in a whole new offensive line ine for one play and tried a pass play, but got called for an illegal motion penalty.

7:49 -- FUMBLE and Woodmont has the ball on around the Seneca 33. It looked liked the fumble came on a pass player when the Wildcat defense pushed the qb back.

7:48 PM -- Woodmont tried for it on fourth down on a trick play. Fails and Seneca again has the ball inside Wildcat 50.

7:45 -- Woodmont's Suber is a pretty good runner. He is said to be getting some interest from Carson Newman as an option quarterback. However, it looks like this drive is stalling around midfield.

7:42 -- Missed field goal from the 20 and Woodmont gets the ball back.

7:37: Seneca is driving.

7:35 PM -- Senec's Thomas Brown just made a nice leaping interception and the Bobcats have the ball inside the Woodmont 50. The Wildcats rarely throw the ball, so that was an odd call.

7:33 PM -- Woodmont has the ball frst tonight and are moving the ball. Quarterback Treis Suber is carrying the ball very well. The Woodmont band is keeping up a constant drumming.

7:28 PM -- Getting ready for the opening kick.

7:20 PM -- Star Spangled Banner just finished.

7:16 PM -- Seneca holds a 7-2 record all-time in this series including a 14-7 victory last year.

7:13 PM -- Not a bad crowd for a game between two teams with a combined 1-13 record. The weather is cold and somewhat misty. However, it doesn't look the rain will be that much of a factor come game time, but the field is pretty wet. Kids will be muddy by the end of the night.

PIEDMONT -- Welcome from Piedmont for the Woodmont and Seneca game. CoachesAid.com will be bringing all of the action from tonight's game. Big question is who is a tougher cat..a Bobcat or a Wildcat.
