This first round Division II playoff game could end up being a shootout. Red Lion shocked many by qualifying for the playoffs thanks in part to a 42-21 win last week over Caravel. RB Jhurell Pressley was the difference in that game as he rushed for 163 yards, including touchdown runs of 3, 52 and 48 yards. Pencader Charter qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history. The Titans secured the berth with an 18-13 win over Mount Pleasant. In that game, QB Brandon Norman had a 1-yard touchdown run and tossed a game-winning 66-yard touchdown pass to his twin brother, Brian.
No. 3 St. Mark’s (8-2) at No. 9 Concord (8-2), Saturday, 1

St. Mark’s enters this Division I playoff game having had its seven-game winning streak snapped following a loss to No. 2, Salesianum, 28-9. The Spartans enter the postseason having struggled on offense as they have scored just 29 points in their last three games. However, with playmakers like QB Tyler Hrycak ad WR Brandon Baker on the roster, St, Mark’s can compete with anybody. Concord, which is in Division I for the first time in 14 year, won a share of the Blue Hen Conference title, made the playoffs despite starting the year 1-2. The Raiders ended the regular season with 28-7 win over Glasgow.
No. 5 Caesar Rodney (7-3) at No. 4 Sussex Tech (9-1), Saturday, 7

Caesar Rodney begins its defense of its Division I state title facing a Henlopen Conference foe it lost to 21-14 on Oct. 30. The Riders enter the postseason having won two straight, including 42-12 last week against Dover. Caesar Rodney is only a play away from the end zone with players like Delaware-bound running back Malcolm Yowk on the roster. Sussex Tech enters the postseason having won eight straight, including 42-7 last week against Polytech. The Ravens are led by Desmond Sivels, who rushed for 137 yards, including touchdown runs of 67 and 1 yard on 12 carries against Polytech..
Delmar (7-3) at No. 7 Howard (9-1), Saturday, 7
Delmar clinched an automatic berth in the Division II playoffs after winning the Henlopen North regular season title. Delmar has won seven straight, including 42-8 last week against Woodbridge. This came after starting the season 0-3. Howard has won five straight, including 40-7 last week against Appoqunimink. In that game, Jordan Hunter-Laws had a 39-yard interception return for a touchdown to go along with a 52-yard scoring run and a 68-yard touchdown reception as Howard claimed a share of the Blue Hen Flight B title.
